February 2010: Heart Breaks Into A Song
Heart Breaks Into A Song (mp3, 128kbps)
This month in Viola Music Club: were a-rockin'!
That's right! It's full-on 110% full steam ahead MIDI rock n' roll from the Viola camp this time.
This month's top achievement: fitting words like "ventriloquist" and "cardiologist" into a carefree indierock lyric.
The track started out very differently. The working title was "summery Notwist", which is to say it was supposed to be far more laid back and electronic, but somehow the holy forces of rock just drove us into adding layer after layer of machismo on top of each other, resulting is one of the most upbeat and straightforward tracks since our Tearcandy-days.
Maybe it's all that Eurovision Song Contest -hoohaw we've been exposed to this month that just made us go all out pop. We need to do stuff like that more often. Thanks to everyone who voted for Bääbs, by the way!
Hope you guys like this one too! Next month we thought we'd kick back into ballad mode again. Could be we'll abuse the duplicate meaning of the word "march" to it's full extent, because we're clever like that.
