SUMMER!
As is customary, we've done our best to create a nice little piece of soundtrack for these fleeting hot summer nights. Enjoy!

Ok, April is over and done with for one more year and it's time to get back into SERIOUS business. And that can only mean a track so heavily drenched in the 80s, you'll think we accelerated our Deloreans to 88mph!

Happy new year!
Welcome to the third calendar year of Viola Music Club! This month's track is our 22nd free offering even if it feels like we've only just begun. Crazy how time flies!

There goes yet another warm summer and it's time to cuddle up under a warm blanket to make sure you stay warm through the cold dark winter.
But make sure you don't forget our little furry friends, puppies!

Red Carpet was by far one of the most amazing bands ever from the Finnish indie pop scene. We were fortunate enough to have them cover us on their farewell ep 'The Band They Coulnd't Hang' in 2007.
Here's their cover of our track Sad Eyed Disco Dancers, from our Melancholydisco album.
Check out more Red Carpet from their MySpace page or from Last.fm (although you should know that there are several other Red Carpets as well).

Hey everybody! Greetings from USA (Tommi) and Lieksa (Riku)!
We're still feeling summery here at Viola Music Club this month, so we bring you a simple story of carefree disco dancing underneath neon lightning and disco thunder! Enjoy!

SUMMERTIME!!!
Hey everyone! Those nine long ones are behind us again and we're ready to do our best to grab a hold of yet another fleeting summer!
To help y'all grab yours, here's our musical tribute to one of the coolest - literally - inventions ever: the popsicle!

This month in Viola Music Club: were a-rockin'!
That's right! It's full-on 110% full steam ahead MIDI rock n' roll from the Viola camp this time.
This month's top achievement: fitting words like "ventriloquist" and "cardiologist" into a carefree indierock lyric.

Hi Friends!
Here's a little extra summertime treat for you nice people out there! In the end of 2005 we created a remix for our good friends Ultramariini for their third album Kauempana kuin kuu.

A weird song about a tamarin monkey. Has something to do with tambourines and such. Beach vibes. Don't ask.

We kinda got a bit political on Anything Can Stop Us. This track, Tedium Rock and Invisible Revolution all present far more direct statements about how people live their lives than any of our other material. Or maybe they're just observations.
Anyway, musically one of our most aggressive tracks. Frantic tempo, glitchy / distorted electronics... Weird.

A song about cats. A song about revolutions. A song about hearts over bank accounts.
What more could you ask for?

"Melancholic three-minute epic that aims high yet falls a little short. Our tribute to Autour De Lucie?"

Bouncing pop with surprisingly optimistic lyrics and some mighty double bass drum action. When this was new, we thought it sounded like Eskobar, whatever happened to them? Has allegedly been played in Brazilian radio. Sometimes we play a "rockin'" version of this in our unelectronic electric (phew!) set.

Palindrome-titled disco track with lyrics about how motorway cruises correspond with dysfunctional relationships ("Art Of Driving", "Crash" (book and film, not the band..), anyone?). Or something like that. Still a live regular and always almost gets the people dancing...

A light disco-pop "hit" with bittersweet lyrics. Classic Placebo/New Order -esque bass line and an eurodance beat. The first Viola song played in national radio! Still a live favourite, an updated version is being planned on our debut album.
