Hi Friends!

Here's a little extra summertime treat for you nice people out there! In the end of 2005 we created a remix for our good friends Ultramariini for their third album Kauempana kuin kuu.

Here's a little extra summertime treat for you nice people out there! In the end of 2005 we created a remix for our good friends Ultramariini for their third album Kauempana kuin kuu.

For the remix we chose the track Ikuisesti from their amazing second album Kevään ja kesän tähtikuvioita, which ranks easily among one of the best guitar pop albums ever from Finland. Really beautiful stuff in there. We wanted to add a bit of oomph to their jingly-jangly ethereal pop sound and I honestly think we did a good job. It's always a huge challenge to remix something that's already quite amazing.

So, as a special summer present from us and the good people at M-Dulor and Ultramariini, here's that remix.

Tämä on kyllä samalla viivalla ihanuudessaan alkuperäisen kanssa, ellei jopa hippasen parempi! Useinhan näin covereiden suhteen ei ole.

Ja tästähän saa oivat maisitiaiset siitä, miltä suomenkielinen Viola saattaisi ehkä kuulostaa.

Hahaa! You should really

Hahaa! You should really check out Ultramariini's stuff even more. At their best, they're simply astonishing! Ville Aalto, their primary songwriter has some serious skills when it comes to making beautiful classic pop tunes! It's too bad you can't understand the lyrics, because they're generally pretty darn cool too.

We just took the greatness and beefed it up with some ooomph. Easy job.

Epäilen tosin onko ko. orkesterin muu tuotanto noin söpöä vaiko tuossa vaan niin paljon Violaa että helisee ja poppaa seuraavaan galaksiin asti. :)
